The Memo Has Landed

The Hillary Clinton campaign’s Fusion GPS created the dossier.

Clinton supporters in the FBI promoted the false dossier to major U.S. news media including the New York Times, Washington Post, CNN, the New Yorker, Yahoo, and Mother Jones.

The four-page report includes testimony from a high-ranking government official that without the infamous Trump dossier, the FBI and DOJ would not have secured surveillance warrants to spy on at least one member of the Trump team.

It also claims the FBI and DOJ used media reporting to lend credibility to the dossier, while the firm behind the dossier, Fusion GPS, briefed major American news outlets to include New York Times, Washington Post, CNN, New Yorker, Yahoo and Mother Jones.

The memo shows that after former British spy Christopher Steele was cut off from the FBI, he continued to pass information, as did Fusion GPS, through Justice Department Official Bruce Ohr.  Ohr’s wife Nellie began working for Fusion GPS as early as May 2016.

It also claims evidence that Steele has a personal animus for President Trump.

McCabe knew that the FISA warrant was obtained using shady dossier and that all extensions were based on the original application. The Obama administration then used information that Hillary paid for to justify spying on . If I got that right should be game over.

The impending release of the four-page memo comes after the House Intelligence Committee voted earlier this week, over Democratic objections, to make the document public. This led to a rare and stunning rebuke from the bureau, which said Wednesday they had “grave concerns about material omissions of fact that fundamentally impact the memo’s accuracy.”

The memo includes alleged abuses involving the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA).

In a last-ditch objection, the top Democrat on the House committee claimed overnight that Chairman Devin Nunes, R-Calif., had made “material changes” to the memo that was sent to the White House for review.

Nunes’ office described the changes as minor and blasted the complaint as a “bizarre distraction from the abuses detailed in the memo.”

The White House has backed the memo’s release, calling for “transparency.”

TRUMP BLASTS ‘POLITICIZED’ FBI, JUSTICE DEPARTMENT

Earlier Friday, President Trump unleashed an early-morning tweet at a Justice Department he said has been “politicized” by Democrats.

GOP-led House investigators believe the FBI used a dubious dossier, initially prepared as campaign opposition research for Hillary Clinton’s presidential bid, to get permission from a secret federal court to eavesdrop on Trump campaign and transition team communications.

“The top Leadership and Investigators of the FBI and the Justice Department have politicized the sacred investigative process in favor of Democrats and against Republicans – something which would have been unthinkable just a short time ago,” Trump wrote. “Rank & File are great people!”

Just more than two weeks, Republican lawmakers first drew attention to the memo, with some calling it “shocking,” “troubling” and “alarming” and one likening the details to KGB activity in Russia. They argued the memo should be immediately made public, leading to a social media #ReleaseTheMemo campaign.

Fox News’ Catherine Herridge, Judson Berger, and Brooke Singman contributed to this report.

NASA’s moon launch computer technology was a fraction of what is on an iPhone or laptop today

Landing the first two astronauts on the Moon on July 20, 1969, ranks as one of the greatest engineering achievements of mankind.

July 20, 2019, will be the 50th anniversary of Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin’s historic walk on the moon. It is one of the most impressive engineering feats in history. Top rocket scientists of the day used slide rulers for calculations. Handheld calculators were not yet invented. IBM’s state-of-the-art mainframes for NASA’s mission control were in a 10,000 square foot, climate-controlled room. Those massive mainframes could have up to 8MB of memory.

Fast forward to 2018, you can buy an iPhone with 32GB or 256GB. One gigabyte (GB) is about 1 billion bytes or 1,000 megabytes.

The iPhone was launched over 10 years ago, in 2007. Rarely has one product generated so much innovation in mini-computers, texting, social media, cell phone technology, cameras, weather forecasts, storm tracking, and the ability to hail an Uber or Lyft driver. The iPhone gave rise to thousands of apps, competitors, and entirely new industries.

Most project managers use smartphones in their day-to-day lives. Text messages on when to pick up the kids for soccer practice, ordering lunch from JimmyJohns, and checking on bank accounts… Now the technology is being applied to work.

A dozen years ago, a construction manager used a digital camera to capture progress on the project. They may have taken a SIM card to a drug store to print photos and then paperclip them to a folder. In recent years, more advanced project managers began attaching JPG images to their digital drawings in seconds.

Thanks to smartphones, project managers are no longer limited by questionable or unreliable Wi-Fi connections inside the construction trailer; smartphones can create a hotspot for laptops in a pickup truck.

Weather tracking on smartphones comes in handy for construction crew scheduling. When a major storm is tracking toward the job site, the project manager can cancel the delivery of concrete mixers, roofers, and masons. Crews can get an alert text message the day before.

The manager can now email the next day’s work plan to the crew. Progress can be recorded and emailed to the office at the end of the day.

Nearly 20 years before the iPhone, niche software companies began developing digital solutions that were virtually paperless for estimating, takeoff, project collaboration, and tracking. But adaptation has been slow.

Nearly half of contractors still use paper plans to create bids and takeoffs manually. They get the job done, but they aren’t aware of the ways technology can improve their business.

Today, project managers can snap several images of construction progress or critical issues with their smartphone and email the JPG to their laptop, where they can be attached with a hyperlink to the exact spot on digital plans.  Change orders, drawings, photos, and project history can now be stored in the cloud, to be instantly recalled on a laptop, smartphone, or iPad from anywhere.

Using the smartphone hotspot, project managers, and foremen can view and collaborate on the same set of plans at the same time from the field and in the office.

Remember the scientists at NASA and their slide rulers? Even in the early ‘70s when hand-held calculators became popular, most of the rocket scientists refused to use the new technology, they trusted their slide rulers.

Green Activists Petition Pope Francis to Declare Fossil Fuels Sinful and Call for a Boycott of Vatican Investment

Featured

In June, Pope Francis spoke at a symposium of entrepreneurs and investment organizations about the ramifications of investing in poor communities and applying ethics in investment decisions.

That led environmental lobbyists to petition Pope Francis to apply ethics to wind and solar investment and to divest from “unethical” fossil fuels. Lobbyists behind the petition report that Pope Francis is indeed planning to state the Roman Catholic Church’s position on ethical investing and call for wealthy parishioners to divest  from fossil fuels. The lobbyists expect it to be an October surprise http://www.romereports.com/pg157305-pope-francis-talks-about-ethical-investing-while-addressing-a-group-of-entrepreneurs–en According to one of the petitioners, the Pope will urge investors to back sustainable investments with a monumental proclamation and urge the boycott investment in “unethical” fossil fuels. The activists report that following the Papal decry, the Vatican Bank will smoothly divest its portfolio of fossil fuels throughout 2015. The Papal petition has the fingerprints of Democratic party strategists, solar power and electric car manufacturers all over it.

Why make the dramatic call to action in October? The scheme is to increase turnout for Democrats in the U.S. mid-term elections this November. The political plotters hope this is a game changer. All the Pontiff’s endorsement has to do is turn a portion of conservative and moderate Democratic party Catholics against the momentum of booming U.S. shale gas production and high-paying jobs. Their  ultimate goal is to defeat Republicans for battleground U.S. Senate seats with Pope Francis’ mid-September endorsement. If the Democrat party can keep the majority in Senate, the eco-manufacturers will be paid back handsomely with increased subsidies for electric cars, wind turbines, solar projects and EPA mandates taxing and shutting down America’s chance for energy independence and spiking the price of conventional fuel. Higher home heating bills will hit the middle class and the con game continues until the next ice age.

Hopefully, the Vatican will weigh the potential negative impact of such an invasive declaration by the church and revoke the petition. I am confident this story will never be picked up or further investigated by the main stream media. It shows you how low politicians will go to strengthen their party’s influence.

The Australian Bureau of Meteorology has been caught red-handed manipulating temperature data to show “global warming” where none actually exists.

At Amberley, Queensland, for example, the data at a weather station showing 1 degree Celsius cooling per century was “homogenized” (adjusted) by the Bureau so that it instead showed a 2.5 degrees warming per century.

Breitbart reports a global warming fix was discovered in Australia. At Rutherglen, Victoria, a cooling trend of -0.35 degrees C per century was magically transformed at the stroke of an Australian meteorologist’s pen into a warming trend of 1.73 degrees C per century.

Last year, the Australian Bureau of Meteorology made headlines in the liberal media by claiming that 2013 was Australia’s hottest year on record. This prompted Australia’s alarmist-in-chief Tim Flannery – an English literature graduate who later went on to earn his scientific credentials with a Ph.D. in paleontology, digging up ancient kangaroo bones – to observe that global warming in Australia was “like climate change on steroids.”

But we now know, thanks to research by Australian scientist Jennifer Marohasy, that the hysteria this story generated was based on fabrications and lies.

Though the Bureau of Meteorology has insisted its data adjustments are “robust”, it has been unable to come up with a credible explanation as to why it translated real-world data showing a cooling trend into homogenized data showing a warming trend.

She wrote:

“Repetition is a propaganda technique. The deletion of information from records, and the use of exaggeration and half-truths, are others. The Bureau of Meteorology uses all these techniques, while wilfully ignoring evidence that contradicts its own propaganda.’’

This is a global problem. Earlier this year, Breitbart reported that similarly dishonest adjustments had been made to temperature records by NASA and NOAA. Similarly implicated are the UK temperature records of the Met Office Hadley Centre and at Phil “Climategate” Jones’s disgraced Climatic Research Unit at the University of East Anglia.

One of the many disingenuous arguments used by climate alarmists against skeptics is mocking and accusing them of being conspiracy theorists. “How could global warming possibly not be a problem when all the world’s temperature data sets from Australia to the US to the UK clearly show that it is? Are you seriously suggesting that so many different scientists and so many distinguished institutions from across the globe would collude in such a massive lie?” their argument runs.

Our answer: yes we bloody well are.

The world has been cooling the past 15 years, so change the term global warming to climate change Populist politicians know that a crisis does not have to be based on facts. A crisis can be created with dramatic appeal to the emotions of the masses. Cropped photos of polar bears seemingly stranded on an iceberg, file video of glaciers sliding into the arctic sea, shots of a desert waste land. Captivating pictures for a junior high assembly.

Basic geology and earth science textbooks introduced just a few years later in high school, explain the evidence of multiple ice ages and warming periods for tens of millions of years. Alligators swam in warm seas in present-day Alaska and Canada. The tar sands in Canada were formed from red tide microbes in tropical seas. The Great Lakes were formed from receding ice sheets a mile high that covered present-day Chicago. Glaciers are advancing when you see sheets of ice falling into the Arctic Ocean. Glaciers are receding when the pull back from the coast. Polar bears are known to swim for miles in open water hunting for food. Wooly mammoth remains from the last ice age, 20,000 years ago are discovered regularly in the Arctic. Some studies have shown that mammoths died out from hunting as late as 7,000 years ago.

For more than a century scientists have speculated that Earth’s ice ages are caused by the wobbling of the planet’s orbit, which changes its orientation to the sun and affects the amount of sunlight reaching higher latitudes, particularly the polar regions. I’m  not an Einstein by any measure, but I have an above average IQ. It wobbling of the Earth’s orbit caused the ice ages, why not consider the other shape of the wobble? Why are they not named hot ages?

Some researchers believe the 17-year cicadas have survived millions of years, through ice ages because they developed prolonged hibernation, emerging from underground every 13 or 17 years, depending on the species. The periodic cicadas emerge as part of a specific brood in order to look for a mate. The group that came out last spring in 2013, and have some stragglers this summer, is known as Brood 2. They are in the Northeast, the offspring of cicadas last seen in 1996. The genetic mechanism that prompts the hibernating cicadas to emerge every 17 years or 13 years is when the ground warms up to 64°F. During an ice age, they would have to wait several thousand years for the temperature to warm to 64°F. The Northern Hemisphere’s last ice age ended about 20,000 years ago,

Some researchers think the timing of a brood’s emergence is a defensive mechanism—appearing at infrequent intervals means that it’s harder for would-be predators like birds and squirrels to anticipate when the insects will be available to eat. I believe this theory gives too much credit to rodents’ planning skills.

The South has cicadas emerge every summer and fall. The Southern region of the U.S. didn’t have the ice sheets covering the ground for thousands of years.

How much warmer will the earth be before the turn to the next ice age? Some experts cite watermarks and ancient clams in cliffs 70 meters high. Florida has underwater caves with artifacts from humans who lived in the caves during the end of the last ice age when water levels were much lower because water was locked in massive ice sheets.

Winter is coming

Dateline Houston, Texas December 8, 2017
Snow fell in the deep south this morning to the delight of children who had never seen frozen flakes before.
It snowed in Mississippi, Louisiana, and the Houston Texas area on December 8, 2017, and the climate change professional hawkers immediately flooded the media with automated stories and quotes from subject matter experts. What happened to the term global warming?
The high priests, priestesses, and politicians replaced Global Warming with Climate Change. Thus, whatever the weather extremes are, blame it on energy companies and auto manufacturers.

The Associated Press, the “bible” of mainstream media,  updated its global warming entry according to a memo.

We are adding a brief description of those who don’t accept climate science or dispute the world is warming from man-made forces:

Our guidance is to use climate change doubters or those who reject mainstream climate science and to avoid the use of skeptics or deniers.

Paul Colford, vice president and director of media relations at the AP, wrote about the memo from Stylebook editors Sally Jacobsen, Dave Minthorn and Paula Froke. The memo also included a bit about how the AP makes decisions on stylebook changes.

Here’s the entry:

global warming The terms global warming and climate change can be used interchangeably. Climate change is more accurate scientifically to describe the various effects of greenhouse gases on the world because it includes extreme weather, storms and changes in rainfall patterns, ocean acidification and sea level. But global warming as a term is more common and understandable to the public.

Though some public officials and laymen and only a few climate scientists disagree, the world’s scientific organizations say that the world’s climate is changing because of the buildup of heat-trapping gases, especially carbon dioxide, from the burning of coal, oil and gas. This is supported by more than 90 percent of the peer-reviewed scientific literature.

Is a new ice age coming? In the 1970s scientists were quoted in Time magazine, predicting just that, the next ice age was beginning to form. After a few years, the predictions were forgotten. Perhaps there was no money in promoting fear of a new ice age. Energy companies would benefit from fighting the freeze.

What is the consensus of scientists on the cause of the ice ages and warming periods? The last ice age finished receding 10,000 years ago. The Great Lakes were formed by the mile-high glaciers that covered North America, melting from the warming period we live in today. The tribes of hunters and gatherers lived in the stone age when the glaciers melted, mankind had no impact on global warming.
